Music from Asif Ali's "Out of Abbfinoosty Comes The Storm" CD CYL 034
A Little information about Asif's Korg .SNG files:-

Basically, Asif has converted his OctaMED  MMD1 MOD music files to Standard
MIDI Files (SMF) via the "MID IT" converter utility which were subsequently
converted to  Music-X  Performance  files.  In  so  doing,  the  conversion
permitted further editing and embellishment in Music-X together with making
his files General MIDI (GM) compatible..  These were then converted back to
Standard MIDI File (SMF) format and  loaded directly  into a Korg i3,  each
score was then  subsequently saved as  Korg .SNG file format,  suitable for
the Korg range of  i-Series Workstations(i2,i3,i4S, i5M and i5S) and/or the
Korg X-Series Workstations, X2 and X3 synths).

The SNG files exploit the General MIDI (GM) set in the Korg synths!

So, the files represented here are simply  converted arrangements of Asif`s
originals which have been converted to Korg .SNG format so those  users can
at least listen to the music and get an idea of his  compositions from  his
CD album  "Out  of  Abbfinoosty  Comes  the  Storm"  Cyclops  records (UK),
Pinnacle (World) - which  has  been  released  Summer  1996..   As Asif has
mentioned in  his  own   document  on  this  CD-ROM,  these  files   simply
represent the  backing only for  his  album  because   the Drums and  Bass,
Guitars and  Vocals  are  played   by   actual musicians including Asif Ali
himself..
